ABSENT: The Supervisor George Hoehmann declared the Town Board meeting opened. Assemblage saluted the flag. The Town Clerk read the roll call.

SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS Women of Distinction POLICE DEPARTMENT MATTERS Captain Glenn Cummings gave a Police Administrative Report for the month of February 2026.

PUBLIC COMMENTS REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS AND GENERAL

PUBLIC COMMENTS Steve Latalardo, New City He is here out of frustration of the road conditions. To understands who maintains these roads is very confusing. Let’s stop wasting government funds. There is no need to call three different departments to try to figure out who maintains the roads (pot holes) in particular. Town, County, State???

The Town Highway Department should take the complaint and forward it to the agency that is responsible for that road. He is happy with the Town Highway Department. The snow removal was fantastic. Even though there are State Roads and County Highway Roads, they are Town problems. The residents that live here have to drive on them. It is ludicrous and unsafe. Something needs to be done.

He spoke to Pat Carroll this year and he informed him that there is a whole project that will take place to replace Route 304 from beginning to end. This affects everyone in our Town. Also, the ramp from the Palisades to the NYS Thruway is going to be closed again. This absolutely needs to be addressed. Let’s do something tangible.

The Supervisor stated that we are doing all we can to get residents to the right offices for file claims. The State Roads are a disgrace. We are hiring a company called PMG. They are going to use AI and they will drive all 300 miles of Town roads. They will take pictures and sensors with AI and come up from a 1 to 100 rating on all of our Town roads.

This will help us to determine that we are making smart decisions with paving. We have paved almost 260 miles of the 300 miles of roads. We want to make sure that the Town roads are taken care of. The State is underfunding all State roads. Two years ago, in the State Budget, there is $16 million allocated to perform the work at night. It will start this year and will conclude in 2027.

They will start at West Nyack Road and continue North - all the way to Route 9W. Route 304 will finally be completed. They will Mill and Fill with two inches of asphalt overlay. We will talk to the Clarkstown Highway Department to make sure they do not just take the call. They will direct it and make sure there is a response from the other state agency. We should be using mutual aid when we are filling potholes.

We need to fill them to stay safe. Regarding Potholes - Supervisor Hoehmann posted a link in the Rockland County Times. This lists all three agencies (State, County, Town), in addition to Senator Bill Weber’s office - here you can report all pot hole issues. Steve Levine, Congers Mr. Levine shares concerns and frustration regarding Pot Holes and he indicated that Route 303 needs to be high on the list for repairs.

He realizes that the only thing our Town Board can do is use their political clout to try to get local officials to work with Albany. The roads need to get repaired. It is going to start affecting the big rigs that use Route 303. Also, regarding item #6 - financing Surveying - If we are subdividing the property which is Town owned, do we have a buyer for the subdivision? Who is the buyer?

Why are the new buyers not paying for the cost to survey the land? The Supervisor stated that the Town is looking for a piece of property that we may surplus. If it is sold, he would imagine the cost for the survey would be rolled in. There is no buyer for it. It is ascertaining how much of the property - it is a small lot - which should have been deemed surplus years ago. If we sell it, it would be one building lot.
